It’s been a slow news week for SEO, with everyone awaiting Penguin 3, but there was an interesting comment made by Google’s John Mueller regarding the algorithm.

Google are Working On A Solution To Refresh Penguin Faster

Google have admitted “our algorithms don’t reflect [webmasters efforts to clean up the issues around their sites being impacted by Penguin] in a reasonable time.” This is great given that some circles believe that you don’t see the full effect of addressing issues which these algorithms affect until the next refresh, which can be roughly every 12 months.
