Google Penguin 3.0 Release Confirmed

After more than 12 months without an update, Google has confirmed that they have updated the Penguin algorithm over the weekend.

The impact of Penguin 3.0 was noticed by many SEOs on Saturday morning in Australia, before Google officially confirmed the update early Monday morning.

The Penguin 3.0 update is great news for anyone that has been trying to recover from the last Penguin update or had a link-based manual penalty. Unlike other algorithmic penalties, Penguin requires a complete re-write of the algorithm before it’s refreshed, meaning if you were penalised by Penguin 2.1 on October last year, you’ve been waiting more than 12 months to recover!

The new Penguin algorithm is expected to allow Google to more easily update or refresh the algorithm, which is great news for webmasters.

Google hasn’t said much about Penguin 3.0 yet, but we’ll keep you up-to-date here with all the latest information!
