When writing your Heading Tags, using keywords relevant to your content is vital, though be careful to not over-do it as you don’t want to run the risk of being caught by search engines for keyword stuffing.
While Meta Descriptions may not impact the rankings of your site, they are still very important from a user experience perspective. If you choose to not have customised Meta Descriptions, Google will pull through random content from your page to display in their search results. So instead of having the option to display a customised message to your potential site visitors, enticing them to click through, they will receive a short snippet of information that will most likely make no sense whatsoever.
